Scotland gets through first stage

The 27-year-old, whose Tour career was interrupted by a wrist injury last year, began the long road back - there are 180 more holes to go - by finishing joint sixth in Germany.
A total of 115 players have now made it into the second stage, which is another 72-hole competition before the successful ones there progress to the six-round school proper in Spain.
Wallace Booth, part of Britain and Ireland's beaten Walker Cup side in America two weeks ago and brother of Curtis Cup golfer Carly, came joint 10th at The Oxfordshire, but the brothers, Lloyd and Zack Saltman, failed to make it through.
There was no success either for James Conteh, son of former world boxing champion John, or Gavin Dear, a team-mate of Booth's when Scotland won the world championship last year. He missed by a single shot.
In Germany a brilliant seven under par 65 from England's Ally Mellor saw him through the field to win on 14 under par.
