McIlroy 40/1 to win US Money List

Following the news that Rory McIlroy is to play the US Tour next season, Coral bookmakers offer the young Irishman at 40/1 to top the US money list.

He's 16/1 in the US Money List betting without Tiger Woods and just 11/2 to win any of the four majors in 2010.

"McIlroy improves with every tournament, and with the European money list heading his way, the lure of the US Tour could add the experience needed in his challenge to win a first major," said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.

McIlroy is 20/1 to win the first major of the year at Augusta in April, and 16/1 to take The Open at St Andrews.

He's also 33/1 to capture the US Open at Pebble Beach and 25/1 to land the USPGA at Whistling Straits.
